Sorainen Lithuania has advised Moneta International on establishing a company and launching operations in Lithuania.

Moneta International operates a payment platform and provides services for e-commerce companies. The company plans to invest more than EUR 1 million in FinTech projects in Lithuania, Sorainen reports, and hire approximately 15 qualified employees.

"We visited six European countries searching for a location suitable for our investment," said Eyal Nachum, Chairman of the Board at Moneta International. "We chose Lithuania after careful evaluation of the factors that every start up, especially in the FinTech sector, must take into account: clear and rational regulation, political stability and confidence in the system, and most importantly – the state authorities’ intention to make the country a leading FinTech jurisdiction. Unlike in most countries, in Lithuania it is more than just words when it comes to this intention."

Sorainen Lithuania's Startup Practice Group assisted Moneta International in establishing the company, advised on licensing, the operating model and other questions. The Sorainen team included Associates Arturas Asakavicius and Vytautas Sabalys.
