Musat & Asociatii has announced that the Administrative and Fiscal Litigation Division of the Romanian High Court of Cassation and Justice (HCCJ) has ruled for client Electrolux Romania on its appeal of a decision of the Competition Council to sanction the company by civil fine of over RON 9.8 million.

“The ruling on the ... appeal is important as, despite an unfavorable trend of the legal practice, it validates the arguments of Electrolux Romania regarding the unlawfulness appearance of the challenged administrative deed,” stated Musat & Asociatii Partner Anca Buta Musat, who coordinated the firm’s team on the matter. Musat was joined on the team by Partners Paul Buta and Angela Mare and Managing Associate Razvan Pele.
