Musat & Asociatii has successfully represented Societatea Romana de Televiziune in a trial initiated by a person requesting the restoration of his ownership rights to the land on which the Romanian television network's headquarters and studios are located.

The firm announced that the Bucharest Tribunal had dismissed the second appeal of the lower court's decision rejecting the plaintiff's request, meaning that, more than five years after the trial began, the decision is now final.

"The decision of the courts of law in this case is beneficial for Societatea Romana de Televiziune in the context of the highly complex issues regarding the restoration of the ownership right of the buildings abusively taken by the communist regime, but also of the numerous enactments regulating this area of practice," said Gheorghe Buta, Co-Managing Partner Musat & Asociatii. "We are glad that we succeeded in preventing the risk of losing the land on which the Television is located, which would have had a really serious impact on the activity carried out by the public service television."

The Musat team representing Societatea Romana de Televiziune in the litigation was coordinated by Buta and was made up of Senior Associate Andra Mihalache and Associate Coralia Alecu.
