CMS has advised Green for Growth Fund on a minority stake acquisition and related debt investment in a Ukrainian company holding the project rights for the development, construction, and operation of a solar power plant in Ukraine.
According to CMS, GGF is an impact investment fund focused on mitigating climate change and promoting sustainable economic growth, primarily through investments that reduce energy consumption, resource use, and CO2 emissions. Together with Goldbeck Solar Group, an international specialist in large-scale solar installations, GGF will construct and operate the new solar project. Once operational, the solar power plant is expected to generate more than 28,000 megawatt-hours of clean energy annually and reduce CO2 emissions by over 12,000 tons per year, contributing to Ukraine's energy transition and climate objectives.
