CMS has advised Chirpan Solar Plant, part of the PPC Bulgaria group, on obtaining a generation licence from Bulgaria’s Energy and Water Regulatory Commission for the Chirpan Solar photovoltaic project.
According to CMS, the project is located in Chirpan Municipality, Stara Zagora Province, and involves the development of a photovoltaic power plant with an installed capacity of 120 megawatts. The first phase is also expected to include a 55 megawatt-hour battery energy storage system.
The CMS team included Partner Borislava Piperkova, Senior Associates Viktoriya Dimitrova and Lyuba Bozova-Peshovska, and Trainee Niya Ivanova.
