Allen Overy Shearman Sterling has advised Penta Investments on CZK 3.2 billion in senior financing for its healthcare real estate portfolio in the Czech Republic. CMS advised the banks.
The financing was arranged as a syndicated facility led by Komercni Banka and CSOB, with participation from UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Slovakia, Ceska Sporitelna, and Raiffeisenbank Ceska Republika.
As reported by CEE Real Estate Matters (on December 22, 2025), the financed portfolio comprises a network of long-term care facilities and Klinika Dr. Pirka, a specialized healthcare provider in the Czech Republic. According to Penta Investments, the transaction was structured through a 21-entity portfolio financing model, allowing for efficient capital allocation and the strategic separation of real estate ownership from operating companies.
The A&O Shearman team included Partner Petr Vybiral, Counsel Matus Kudlak, Senior Associate Barbara Midova, Associate Lucie Cerna, and Junior Lawyers Jan Tocik, Jan Brzezina, and Stefan Jaroscak.
The CMS team included Partner Petra Mysakova, Associate David Bujgl, and Lawyers Adam Fanta and Michal Vaclavik.
