Cobalt has advised Stargate Hydrogen on a partnership with Respol, including Repsol’s venture capital fund acquiring a minority stake in the company.
Stargate Hydrogen is an Estonian electrolyzer manufacturer and an IPCEI-recognized company.
Respol is an Energy company. According to Cobalt, listed on the Spanish stock exchange, Repsol’s investment aims to strengthen Stargate’s position as a technology leader and enhance its global competitiveness in the renewable hydrogen sector.
Earlier in 2025, Cobalt advised on Stargate Hydrogen's EUR 11 million series A funding round (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on March 19, 2025).
The Cobalt team included Managing Associate Grete Kuru and Junior Associate Paul Schifrin.
