Long considered an appealing investment because of its strong returns and favorable U.S. tax treatment, litigation funding faced potential disruption in May with the introduction of two identical bills, S. 1821[1] and H.R. 3512[2], known as the Tackling Predatory Litigation Funding Act. The measure, however, failed to progress and was excluded from the final version of the Senate’s tax package.
