Former Provaris Varga & Partners TMT and corporate law Partners Adam Liber, Tamas Bereczki, and Aron Bagdi have spun off to launch BLB Legal, effective July 1, 2025.
“The firm will focus on digital, technology, and corporate law, with several Associates from Provaris’ Digital/Technology and Corporate also joining the new venture, effectively transferring entire practice groups and ensuring continuity of client service and expertise,” according to BLB Legal.
Liber and Bereczki have been with the Provaris team since 2019 (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on December 3, 2019). Before that, Liber served as Baker McKenzie's Budapest Head of IT/Communications. He first joined the firm in 2015 after working for Bogsch & Partners between 2006 and 2010. Bereczki worked for Baker McKenzie between 2018 and 2019. Before that, he was a Manager with Deloitte Hungary between 2016 and 2018. Earlier still he worked as an IT Risk & Controls Analyst for City between 2015 and 2016 and as an Information Security Officer for Erste Bank Hungary between 2011 and 2015. Bagdi was an Attorney at Law with Provaris, joining the firm in 2019. Before that, he was an Associate with KNP Law.
According to the firm, the step represents “the rebranded evolution of their established advisory work – maintaining strong client relationships while advancing a renewed strategic direction. This includes closer collaboration with Gresham Partners, a consultancy founded by senior Big Four professionals and specializing in private equity, M&A advisory, due diligence, and strategic growth consulting.”
BLB Legal informed it “will continue to advise both domestic and international clients, with a focus on cross-border technology mandates, data protection, intellectual property, and corporate transactions. The firm plans to broaden its advisory offering across data-driven regulatory fields, while strengthening its presence across the CEE region and positioning itself as a go-to partner for innovation-driven businesses.”
“This move reflects our long-term vision for an independent, partner-led platform focused on technology and business law,” said Liber. “We see growing client demand for integrated legal and technical advice in areas such as data security, IT risk, and digital resilience,” added Bereczki. “Our aim is to build a specialized capability around IT security and data infrastructure compliance as part of our broader technology-focused practice.”
