Ellex has advised RATO Credit Union on obtaining a specialized bank licence from the European Central Bank, with the financial institution to continue operations as RATO Bank from early 2026.
According to Ellex, the licence marks a key milestone in RATO’s transformation from a long-established credit union into a modern specialized bank.
The Ellex team included Partner Ieva Dosinaite, Expert Lina Radaviciene, and Senior Associate Mindaugas Moskalionas.
