Freshfields, Oppenheim, and BDK Advokati have advised Continental and its ContiTech division on the sale of the Original Equipment Solutions business unit to US private holding company Regent. Taylor Wessing, Karanovic & Partners, Gen Temizer, and Stratulat Albulescu advised Regent. DR & AJU, Foley & Lardner, Gide Loyrette Nouel, Mori Hamada & Matsumoto, Felsberg Advogados, Cascione Advogados, and ECIJA reportedly advised Regent as well.

Regent is a private equity firm that manages businesses across technology, consumer, media, and industrial sectors.

According to Freshfields, OESL generated around EUR 1.9 billion in 2024 sales across 16 countries, with approximately 16,000 employees to transfer to Regent. 

The Freshfields team included Vienna-based Ludwig Hartenau and Associates Christina Hinterschweiger and Sabeth Rivero Mendez, as well as further lawyers in Germany, the Netherlands, France, China, Japan, and the US.

The Oppenheim team included Partner Jozsef Bulcsu Fenyvesi, Counsel Zoltan Kolodzey, and Senior Associates Gabriella Dinnyes, Helga Lieszkovszky, and Zoltan Bodak.

The Karanovic & Partners team included Senior Partner Milos Jakovljevic, Partners Sava Draca and Bojan Vuckovic, and Associate Jovana Djordjevic.

The Taylor Wessing team included Austria-based Partner Martin Eckel, Counsel Verena Stagl, and Associate Sebastian Hofer, Poland-based Partner Ewelina Stobiecka, Counsel Adrian Bielecki, and Associate Patrycja Sokolowska, Slovakia-based Partner Juraj Frindrich, Senior Associate Tomas Grell and Associate Silvia Janigova, Hungary-based Partner Torsten Braner and Senior Associates Petra Knall, Adel Kovacs, and Fruzsina Konya, as well as further lawyers in Germany, France, China, and the Netherlands.

The BDK Advokati team included Senior Partner Vladimir Dasic and Associate Milan Popovic.

The Gen Temizer team included Partner Bulut Girgin, Senior Associate Mustafa Polat, and Legal Advisor Ahmet Kerem Demir 

The Stratulat Albulescu team included Managing Partner Silviu Stratulat and Senior Associate Amanda Csaki.
