Hogan Lovells and Rymarz Zdort Maruta have advised Canadian energy company Northland Power on its acquisition of two battery energy storage system projects in Poland from Greenvolt Power Group. DLA Piper advised Greenvolt Power Group.
According to Hogan Lovells, located in western Poland, the Mieczyslawow (200 megawatts / 800 megawatt-hours) and Kamionka (100 megawatts / 400 megawatt-hours) projects each feature a four-hour duration. The financing and construction are expected to begin in 2026, with a combined estimated cost of EUR 200 million.
In 2024, Rymarz Zdort Maruta advised Northland Power on the Energa Wytwarzanie joint venture (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on April 16, 2024).
