Karanovic & Partners has appointed Senior Partner Marjan Poljak as the firm's new Managing Partner.

According to Karanovic & Partners, Poljak will take over the leadership role from Milos Vuckovic, who has been Managing Partner for the past two years. Senior Partner Darko Jovanovic will serve as a Deputy Managing Partner.

Poljak's practice focuses on corporate and commercial matters. He has been with the firm since 2009, when he joined as a Senior Partner. From 2024 to 2026, he served as the Deputy Managing Partner of the firm. Earlier, he worked for Colja, Rojs & Partners as a Senior Associate from 2006 to 2009 and for Drazic, Beatovic & Partners as an Associate between 2002 and 2004. From 2004 to 2006, he practiced solo.

“Marjan’s leadership, strategic perspective, and deep understanding of our work make him a natural choice for Managing Partner," Vuckovic commented. "I am confident that, together with Darko as Deputy Managing Partner, he will continue to advance our strategy and long-term vision.”

“I am excited to take on this role at a time when the practice is building on a very strong foundation," Poljak added. "Over the next two years, our focus will be on strengthening what already works well, while ensuring that our growth remains sustainable. We will continue to do things with quality and integrity, with a clear focus on our business and our people, further developing our practice areas and creating long-term value for our clients.”
