Asters has advised AIRO Group Holdings on establishing a transatlantic defence joint venture with Ukraine-based Nord Drone Group.

AIRO Group Holdings is a Nasdaq-listed aerospace and autonomy company.

According to Asters, the new venture will combine AIRO Drone, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of AIRO, with Nord Drone Group to expand drone production capacity for key defence industry markets. The transaction supports the parties’ strategy to integrate AIRO’s US-based manufacturing and procurement capabilities with Nord Drone’s European production platform and combat-proven technologies. Nord Drone currently manufactures approximately 4,000 drones per month, including FPV strike systems, loitering munitions, and multi-role bombers. Its NORD-10 and NORD-15 models feature ranges of up to 15 kilometres, payload capacities of up to 4.5 kilograms, and advanced GPS/GLONASS/BeiDou navigation supported by proprietary control systems.

The Asters team included Partner Oleksiy Demyanenko, Counsel Oleksandr Khomenko, and Senior Associate Ihor Pavliukov.

Asters could not provide additional information on the matter.
