CMS has advised Hansen Ukrainian Mission on a European Bank for Reconstruction and Development loan facility of up to EUR 100 million to support the development of a rental housing platform in Ukraine.
According to CMS, the financing is aimed at delivering safe, sustainable housing for internally displaced persons and other vulnerable groups, addressing one of Ukraine’s most acute social challenges amid ongoing recovery efforts. The rental housing platform is led by developer and philanthropist Dell Loy Hansen and implemented through Hansen Ukrainian Mission, a non-profit organization focused on housing solutions for displaced families. Subsequent phases of the project are expected to deliver approximately 1,800 affordable homes in the Kyiv region by 2029.
The CMS team included Partner Natalia Kushniruk, Counsels Kateryna Chechulina and Mykhaylo Soroka, and Paralegal Liudmyla Stryzhak.
