Nestor Nestor Diculescu Kingston Petersen has assisted Smithfield Group in its acquisition of the Maier Com sausage factory in Arad County, Romania.
"This will allow us to further develop value-added products by using pork produced in an integrated system and using it as a raw material for sausage," said Cristina Bodea, Sustainability Director of Smithfield Romania.
Smithfield Romania is a pork producer and the largest livestock breeder in Romania. It sells over 1.3 million pigs a year.
Maier Com was established in 1994 in the town of Arad as a limited liability company with privately owned capital. Its main activity is the production, processing, and preservation of meat.
The NNDKP team was led by Senior Partner Adriana Gaspar.
