Tomashevskaya & Partners has advised MaximaTelecom on a joint venture agreement with Gazprom-Media Holding for a new brand, named Quant.

MaximaTelecom is a Russian company specializing in the development and commercialization of public wireless networks as well as being the Wi-Fi network operator in the Moscow Metro and on Russian public transport systems.

Gazprom-Media Holding is a diversified media holding operating in Russia and Eastern Europe.

According to Tomashevskaya & Partners, Gazprom-Media Holding obtained a 51 percent stake of shares in the business. The new company will be led by the team of MaximaTelecom and the board of directors will have both Gazprom-Media Holding and MaximaTelecom representatives.

MaximaTelecom invested its knowledge and technology in the sphere of data analysis and AdTech targeting solutions in the JV, Tomashevskaya & Partners reports, while Gazprom-Media Holding provided a part of its media inventory for monetization.

The Tomashevskaya & Partners team consisted of Managing Partner Zhanna Tomashevskaya and Counsel Dmitry Lafitskiy.
