CMS has advised Agir Global on the acquisition of Steel Service Center Sidma Romania.

The transaction remains contingent on regulatory approval.

Agir Global is a Turkish steelmaker mainly active in the flat steel segment of the industry. It operates a rolling mill and steel service center in Turkiye, producing a wide range of flat steel products, teardrop, and diamond sheets.

Steel Service Center Sidma Romania is a subsidiary of Greek-based Sidma Group which operates in the field of trading and industrial processing of steel products.

According to CMS, "the acquisition marks Agir Global’s first step into the European steel market and is part of the company’s broader strategy to gain access to the key global steel markets."

The CMS team included Managing Partner Horea Popescu, Counsel Claudia Nagy, Senior Associate Elena Andrei, and Associates Rares Crismaru and Oana Chivu.

CMS did not respond to our inquiry on the matter.
