Stratulat Albulescu Advises Mitel Group on Unify Acquisition

Stratulat Albulescu, working with Taylor Wessing, has advised the Mitel Group on its acquisition of Unify from the Atos Group. Garrigues and Mattos Filho reportedly advised Mitel as well. The French office of Baker McKenzie reportedly advised Atos.

The Mitel Group is a Canadian telecommunications company.

Unify is an integrated communications company. It is headquartered in Munich and was known as Siemens Enterprise Communications before 2016. 

Atos is a European multinational information technology company.

According to Stratulat Albulescu, “the acquisition strengthens Mitel’s position in multiple geographies and segments, while reinforcing the company’s commitment to delivering choice and flexibility for business communications customers and establishing a deep bench of talent to accelerate innovation in the unified communications space. Together with Unify, Mitel now has a combined customer base of more than 75 million users in over 100 countries.”
