Freshfields Advises on EUR 3 Billion Refinancing for Strabag SE

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has advised Deutsche Bank and Raiffeisen Bank International on the refinancing of financing instruments for Strabag SE.

According to Freshfields, Deutsche Bank acted as a documentation agent in connection with the refinancing of its existing guarantee facility through a new EUR 2.5 billion guarantee facility. Raiffeisen Bank International served as a documentation agent on the refinancing of its existing syndicated revolving credit facility via a new EUR 500 million revolving credit facility. Both banks also acted as coordinators on the two financing transactions. The transaction is aimed at optimizing Strabag SE’s financing structure and enhancing its long-term financial flexibility.

The Freshfields team included Vienna-based Partner Florian Klimscha, Counsel Mathias Lehner, and Associate Florian Braunauer as well as further team members in Frankfurt.
