BPV Grigorescu Stefanica has advised Omnia Capital on its acquisition of Dumagas from Bancroft.
Omnia Capital is a private equity investment firm. Dumagas is a road transportation company. Bancroft is a private equity fund.
According to BPV Grigorescu Stefanica, “the transaction was signed in the first part of the year and closed this February and sees Olympic Freight, a portfolio company owned by Omnia Capital, take over the entire shareholding of Dumagas."
“Dumagas represents an important step in Omnia Capital’s strategy to invest in strategic but unattractive industries, which often suffer from a lack of investor appetite, not promising astronomical returns,” commented Omnia Capital Partner Matei Ladea. “As this is a key sector for the economy and highly fragmented, we will continue our acquisitions in the transportation sector in order to build a EUR 100 million trans-European platform.”
BPV Grigorescu Stefanica’s team included Partner Catalin Grigorescu and Associates Iuliana Salageanu and Ioana Gheorghe.
BPV Grigorescu Stefanica did not respond to our inquiry on the matter.
