Lexist Secures ICSID Victory for Republic of Turkiye in Dispute with Enel

Lexist, working with Twenty Essex Chambers and Sovereign Arbitration Advisors, has successfully represented the Republic of Turkiye in an ICSID case brought by Enel over the cancellation of its pre-license for a solar power plant project in the Isparta province by Turkiye’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority.

According to Lexist, the ICSID tribunal unanimously dismissed all claims on the merits, ruling in favor of Turkiye and confirming that EMRA’s procedures complied fully with both Turkish and international legal standards, including principles of due process. The arbitration was administered under the coordination of the Presidency’s Directorate General of Law and Legislation, with management by EMRA.
