CMS has advised Entek Elektrik Uretim on the acquisition of two Romanian companies owning the rights to a 214.26-megawatt solar power project under development from UK-based Econergy International.

The transaction remains contingent on regulatory approval.

Entek is a Koc Group company operating in the energy sector. It focuses on investing in energy technologies, as well as renewable energy sources, and is a 99.23% subsidiary of Turkish energy company Tupras Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri – Turkey’s largest industrial enterprise.

Econergy is an international independent power producer of utility-scale renewable energy projects.

The CMS team included Managing Partner Horea Popescu, Partner Varinia Radu, Counsels Claudia Nagy and Ramona Dulamea, Senior Associate Raluca Diaconeasa, and Associates Eduard Roventa and Alexandru Trandafir.

CMS did not respond to our inquiry on the matter.

Editor's note: After this article was published, Vlasceau & Partners announced it advised Econergy International on the sale. The team was led by Partner Loredana Vlasceanu.
